California Handwoven’s mission is to make exceptional handwoven goods for lifetime enjoyment and to share our love for artisan crafts and communities. We bring small-is-beautiful values to home textiles and fashion accessories, including a commitment to quality over quantity, design that promotes longevity of use, and sustainable resources and production processes. We are based in San Francisco, CA.
Founder Laura Stein is a fashion and textile designer who holds Textile and Apparel Construction certificates from City College of San Francisco. She is a former university professor and current member of the SF Loom & Shuttle Guild and Complex Weavers.
